WOW! I was notified this afternoon of a donation to the Clock Tower project by an out of town business from Wooster, Ohio. Now that wouldn’t be very unusual. It just for some reason caught me off guard. So, I called this company up and told him who I was and why I was calling. After thanking him for his donation I asked if he had a connection to Willard. His comment back was no I don’t. He said I made the donation because of his love for small towns. He was raised in a small town. He runs a siding company that is currently working in town repairing and replacing hail damage siding on many Willard homes. The Business name is Black Diamond Contracting LLC.
He said someone had mentioned the clock tower project to him and he asked for more information. Said it was just his way to help. Now that is small town love from a guy that really has no connection to Willard but is in town making a living for his family in Wooster. He took the time to look at what this project means to a small town and wanted to help. Thank You to Black Diamond Contracting LLC. I appreciate your support and help on this project.

I cannot say enough about this company and the employees! I was skeptical at first as one day this stranger walked into my yard where I was working and started trying to sell me his product. I was not interested at all in buying or repairing anything as I simply didn't have the money and I knew the size of the project would be costly. Thankfully I listened to what Lonnie had to say and he was so gracious when I started asking him in depth questions about his company and the Amish culture. He gave me some sites on the work they had recently done and once I took a tour in town, I was hooked! He did everything, all I had to do was make a few phone calls to the insurance company. Due to the weather and other projects that they had going on, it took about 2 months for my house to get started. Every time we thought they could begin, it snowed, but Lonnie kept me completely informed as to what was happening. (One day after the guys had started my house, it started snowing again, but these guys stayed until they got their day's work in, battling the freezing cold with wind and snow in their faces!) The 3 guys that did the work are amazing, I was sure they would fall off the roof the way they had to climb around up there, but they knew what they were doing! They were also fun to watch and you could tell they loved what they were doing and were a true team that cared about each other. My neighbor got a kick out of watching them throw tools up to each other (so they weren't going up and down the ladders) and they caught them in mid air! It was amazing to watch. But they were always professional and very safety aware and conscious. They never put either themselves or my family in harm's way. They also cleaned up every scrap piece of material and nails from the old siding. They did this everyday and did a final big cleanup the day the project was completed. I would most certainly hire them again and would recommend them to anyone. This is a great company with great people! The owner does the footwork and is very personable. He and his wife even welcomed a new baby during my job, but he still took time to respond to my questions. He knows his product and how to work with insurance companies. His employees are professional and cordial. They are meticulous with their work and enjoyable to watch. They also know their stuff, there are some crazy corners on my house/garage and how they reached them was beyond me, but they got every nook and cranny completed just as if they were standing on the ground doing a simple straight put up. Great company, great workers. Hire them and you will not be disappointed!

The Black Diamond team were terrific to work with - they worked with me as far as the insurance estimate, and explained all of the options and any additional repair work that was required beyond the insurance cost. Black Diamond also pulled the necessary permits from my city on my behalf. The work team that came to my home were pleasant and professional, laid down tarps to keep a clean work environment, and cleaned up all of the debris and hauled it away. Overall a very good experience.

I would absolutely recommend Black Diamond Contracting. While other Columbus based firms were wasting time getting storm damage work completed, these guys were at our home, and in a total of 3 separate days, had our siding replaced, roof replaced, and gutters replaced. Others took weeks on similar houses. Highly recommend. Very thorough, very professional, cleaned up after each part.

I, along with several other residents in our community, used Black Diamond Contracting as our contractor to have hail damaged siding replaced on our home. Lonnie Wengerd is very good at checking out homes, working well with insurance companies, returning telephone calls/text messages, and being on time when he sets up appointments. If you live in an area where there were storms from wind or hail, Lonnie from Black Diamond Contracting is a good person/company to contact. Hail damage isn’t always that visible to the eye. Also, with everyone being busy and having busy schedules, it is nice working with a company who sets up times that are good for yourselves, as well as your insurance company’s agents.

Lonie did an excellent job, So knowledgeable he took lots of pictures. The in. adjuster didn't do that, Lonie went to bat for us and worked with the insurance company, because we did not know how to go about doing it ourselves ,can't say enough good things about him . His crew came early in the morning, put tarps over flowers and shrubs, tore off the house roof and had the new roof on before 11:30 then went on to the garage roof, they put on a metal roof, had it all done by afternoon. They cleaned up , the guys were so nice I can't say enough good things about them
